Josh and Chloe Wedding Day

Project type

Wedding Photography

Date

28th October 2025

Location

The Ashes Barns

Josh and Chloe’s wedding at The Ashes Barns was the perfect blend of rustic charm, emotion, and autumn light — and an incredible day to capture through the lens. As a photographer, my goal is always to tell the full story of a couple’s day: the quiet moments, the big emotions, and the little details that make their wedding uniquely theirs.

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was full of excitement. Chloe and her bridal party created a beautiful, light-filled space to photograph the morning preparations. Using soft natural light and subtle direction, I worked to create relaxed, flattering portraits that feel authentic rather than staged.

One of the most memorable moments was Chloe’s first look with her dad — a moment overflowing with emotion. I captured it in an unobtrusive, documentary style, allowing the connection to unfold naturally while ensuring every expression and gesture was preserved.

While the bride was getting ready, I photographed Josh and his groomsmen adding the finishing touches to their tweed suits. These candid, behind-the-scenes shots help tell the full story of the day and bring balance to the final gallery.

The ceremony at The Ashes Barns was beautifully lit with soft afternoon sun, allowing me to create warm, timeless images with rich natural tones. I focus on capturing genuine reactions — the laughter, the nerves, the little glances — the moments that couples cherish most when they look back.

After the ceremony, we explored the venue’s stunning grounds for couple and bridal party portraits. With the lake, open fields, and autumn colours as a backdrop, I guided Josh and Chloe into natural, comfortable poses that brought out their personalities and connection. My approach is always relaxed and conversation-driven so couples feel at ease and their portraits feel real.

We ended the afternoon with confetti, candid moments with guests, and golden-hour portraits that added a soft, romantic glow to the gallery. Throughout the day, I blended documentary storytelling with gentle creative direction to deliver a complete, emotive, and beautifully cohesive collection of images.

If you’re planning your wedding and looking for a photographer who captures genuine emotion, natural colours, and all the moments that matter — big or small — I’d love to tell your story next.
